iPod Profiles

RuleSets allow you to quickly queue and unqueue items on your iPod based on certain criteria, in much the same way that Smart Playlists work.

The RuleSets window has two main areas. They are:

Profile List

This list shows the profiles on your computer. To remove a profile, click the '–' button at the bottom of the list.

Note: Profiles for iPods currently open in Music Rescue cannot be removed.

Profile Settings

This area shows the settings for the selected profile. Currently, they are:

Allow Roaming Profile
If this option is on, the profile will be saved to the iPod and be used by copies of Music Rescue on other computers.
Remember Track Statuses
If this option is on, information about each track (such as whether the track has been copied, whether the track is queued, etc) will be saved to the profile. On a large iPod, this saving may take a few seconds when the iPod's window is closed.
iPod Type and Colour
If Music Rescue incorrectly identifies your iPod or cannot identify its type, you can choose the type and colour of it here. This should normally be left on Automatic.
