Licensing

To use Music Rescue regularly, it must be licensed. Music Rescue accommodates many situations by allowing you to license an iPod, a computer, or combinations of iPods and computers. For more information on entering your license into Music Rescue, see the License Manager page.

License Types

Music Rescue has two types of license - a computer license which licenses Music Rescue to a single computer, and an iPod license that licenses Music Rescue to a single iPod. For example:

	Licensing Music Rescue to your computer allows multiple iPods to be used with the licensed computer without restriction. This option is best if you expect to use more than one iPod with the licensed computer, or only have one computer and iPod.
	Licensing Music Rescue to an iPod allows the licensed iPod to work with multiple computers. The license is stored on the iPod itself, so there's no need to enter the license key into each computer you use the iPod with - Music Rescue uses it automatically.
	You can combine licenses to suit your needs. For example, if you have multiple iPods shared between a single home computer, but one of the iPods will be used on a work machine you can license the home computer and the mobile iPod.
